SereneSpace ("the app") is a meditation and sleep-sounds app for Android, published by Vaimanasoft ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the SereneSpace app only — our website and other products have their own privacy policy.
The short version: SereneSpace has no accounts and never asks for your name, email, or contacts. It does use analytics, crash reporting, and advertising services that collect device-level data, described in full below.
1. Data Stored Only on Your Device
The following stays on your phone and is never uploaded by us:
- Your sound mixes, favourites, and app preferences
- Meditation and story listening history, minutes, and streaks
- Reminder settings
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
2. Data Collected by Third-Party Services
SereneSpace integrates the following services. Each is operated by Google and processes data under Google's Privacy Policy. Analytics and crash data are aggregated and are not used by us to identify you.
2.1 Google Firebase Analytics
Collects: app interactions (screens viewed, sessions played),
device model and OS version, app version, coarse location (country, derived from
IP address), a random app-instance identifier, and the device advertising ID.
Why: to understand which features are used so we can improve the app.
2.2 Firebase Crashlytics
Collects: crash traces, device state at the time of a crash, and
device model/OS.
Why: to find and fix bugs.
2.3 Firebase Remote Config
Collects: a random app-instance identifier.
Why: to deliver configuration (such as ad frequency limits) without
requiring app updates.
2.4 Google AdMob (free tier only)
Collects: the device advertising ID, IP address, and ad
interaction data.
Why: to show the ads that fund the free tier. SereneSpace Plus
subscribers see no ads, and no ad data is requested for them.
2.5 Google Play Billing
Collects: purchase and subscription state, processed entirely by
Google Play — we never see your payment details.
Why: SereneSpace Plus subscriptions and the lifetime purchase.
3. AI Sleep Stories
When you generate a sleep story, your chosen theme and length are sent to Anthropic's API to write the story text, and the text is sent to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech to create the narration. No identity, device, or usage data accompanies these requests. Generated stories are stored on your device.
4. What We Never Collect
- Name, email address, phone number, or contacts
- Precise location
- Microphone audio or recordings — the app never records you
- Health data
5. Your Choices
- Ads & advertising ID: reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Subscribing to SereneSpace Plus removes advertising entirely.
- Local data: clear the app's storage or uninstall to erase everything held on the device.
- Analytics deletion requests: contact us (below) and we will request deletion of your app-instance analytics data from Firebase.
6. Children
SereneSpace is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
7. Data Retention & Security
Analytics and crash data are retained by Google per Firebase's standard retention periods (typically 2–14 months) and then deleted or aggregated. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
8. Changes to This Policy
We will update this page when our data practices change and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's update notes.
